Introduction

ECO Stars has now been running in South Yorkshire for more than ten years – successfully helping many fleet operators improve efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and make cost savings.

The ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme and was set up by the local authorities in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield to tackle air pollution. Our members come from the whole spectrum of commercial fleet operators  – specialist logistics companies, some of the largest retailers in the UK,  bus and coach operators, public sector organisations including South Yorkshire Police and other companies where distribution or commercial transport forms part of their business.  They’ve all got one thing in common – a desire to run their vehicles as cleanly and efficiently as possible.  Reduction of toxic vehicle emissions can  help improve local air quality in South Yorkshire.
